DocPoint expands to Estonia

DocPoint - Helsinki Documentary Film Festival will be held for the first time in Tallinn on January 29th-31st 2010.

- The initiative to start DocPoint in Tallinn came from our Estonian colleagues. People are getting more interested in documentaries in Estonia, but they haven't had a festival focused only on documentary film. Estonian and Finnish cultures are so similar that starting the cooperation felt natural, says Artistic Director of DocPoint Festival Erkko Lyytinen.

The programme of DocPoint Tallinn focuses on Finnish documentary films but also shows international highlights. The festival will be organised in Kumu Art Museum, Tallinn.

The 9th DocPoint - Helsinki Documentary Film Festival will be held in Helsinki on January 26th-31st 2010.
