Submission of non-national films to DocPoint 2012

DocPoint - Helsinki Documentary Film Festival has no official selection procedure for non-national films. The international program is constituted of thematic selections that change each year. The festival doesn’t publicize the themes before the actual presentation of the final program. The selections are done by the artistic direction of the festival on "invitation only" basis and therefore the festival doesn't have an official deadline for submissions either.

In spite of what was said above, DocPoint is very interested in hearing about the latest documentary films. The festival urges filmmakers to send an email with a short synopsis of their film. If the film fits one of the categories and interests the festival, it will then request the filmmaker/producer to send a screener. The filmmakers can, of course, send us a screener (DVD Pal) directly to the festival office, but the festival cannot promise any feedback.
