Street artist Blu has been noted for his building-sized murals as well as for unique animations made on walls. Director Lorenzo Fonda travels with Blu through Latin American countries, from Mexico to Argentina in order to film the artist's working methods and sources of inspiration in a foreign environment.

The two meet street artists from different countries, youth workers, culturati and by-passers. By using various methods of visual expression, the documentary portrays an artist who chooses his own walls, painting whatever and wherever he wants, filling empty surfaces with meanings. He also is willing to share his expertise with those who are interested. The documentary considers the unanswered questions of street art: who owns the surfaces of abandoned buildings and who gets to define the visual appearance of a built environment. The art of communal spaces exceeds society's strict rules and cultural borders.
