Adding to the official programme, Off Point presents works, artists and phenomena that explore and explain the documentary genre and introduce viewers to diverse ways of portraying reality through different forms of art and action.

FixPoint:

FixC artist cooperative (Taiteilija Osuuskunta FixC) has assembled video installations moving within the limits of experimental cinema and documentary film in the lobby of Bio Rex.

Sunset Boulevard:

Sunset Boulevard, “a moving gallery”, is on display in the new exhibition room on the Simonkatu side of Lasipalatsi, generating encounters between different forms of documentary expression.

Jan 28th The Video Marthas gather, make and present their videos. Filmed, updated versions of traditional musical laments.

Jan 29th Open screening day including the history of the Helsinki Filmmakers’ Co-op.

Jan 30th Nature of Helsinki Videos by Kaupunkimetsäliike, the environmental organisation Dodo and many others.

Jan 31st Sunset boulevard Moving gallery and aphoristic videos of the Nomadic Academy.

Throughout the festival the space is open for instant discussion, performances and moving picture. Programme details can be seen daily on DocPoint Info Center's blackboard.
